Doughnut Coaster DIY

Doughnuts or Donuts? Either way, I love 'em! Doughnuts are fun, pretty and such a treat.  I wish I could capture the happy that doughnuts create and apply it to everyday... OH Hey! This diy helps to do just that! Sure, these fun coasters don't taste that great, but you have to admit, they are cute enough to eat...

What you need:
  • Large, round cork coasters
  • White craft paint
  • Brightly colored craft paints
  • A medium round paint brush
  • A small, flat paint brush

How to:
  1. Start by making a solid circle in the middle of your coasters with white paint, about 1 inch in diameter.
  2. Using brightly colored paint, draw a sort of un-even border around the edges of the coaster, leaving some of the original cork exposed. Begin to fill in the the border solid, careful not to paint over your white center. This is your 'icing'.
  3. After the 'icing' is dry, dip your small flat paintbrush in brightly colored paint, and add different colored sprinkles.
  4. Let dry completely before sealing with a coat of mod podge.

Your guests will never forget to use a coaster again!
