Sweetheart Smoothie


Hello lovelies! I have a really yummy smoothie recipe for you today, just in time for Valentine's. This recipe is twice as sweet, but not because of the sugar content! Packed with great nutrients to fill your sweeties up with healthy sweetness, that looks and feels like a sinful treat. Banana, strawberries, blueberries and greek yogurt swirled together in a pretty display, with the added benefits of ground flax seed. Hearts all around!!

Ingredients:
Makes two servings

1 ripe Banana (sliced and chilled ahead)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced and chilled
1/2 cup fresh blueberries, chilled
3/4 cup greek yogurt (divide into 3 equal parts)
2 tablespoons ground flax seed
1 cup almond milk (divide into 3 equal parts)

How to:

Blend frozen blueberries, 1 part almond milk and 1 part greek yogurt in a blender until smooth. Pour equally into two tall glasses. Blend frozen banana slices, flax seed, greek yogurt and one part almond milk. Add more almond milk if mixture is too thick. Carefully spoon the mixture over the blueberry mix. The two will combine slightly. Rinse the blender and repeat with strawberries, almond milk and yogurt. Carefully pour the strawberry mix over the top so that you are left with a pretty swirled effect of the three colors. Serve immediately!
